Winning Wild: Minnesota Leads NHL At 30-Game Mark

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild are rolling.

With seven straight victories, the Wild lead the NHL with 43 points in 30 games. That's the best start in the franchise's 11-year history. New head coach Mike Yeo has already guided the Wild to three separate winning streaks of five games or more.

Yeo says the source of the success is solely from the players and the attitude they brought to training camp. Their consistent commitment to sticking to the system has clearly paid off so far.

The Wild are taking their first trip to Winnipeg since the former Atlanta franchise relocated there this summer. They play the Jets on Tuesday night.
