Willmar Man Sentenced For Day Care Assaults
WILLMAR, Minn. (AP) -- A Willmar man who acknowledged molesting young girls at his wife's home day care is scheduled to serve three years in prison on two second-degree criminal charges.
The West Central Tribune reports that 61-year-old Larry Alan Stoeser also will have a five-year conditional release period and be on probation for 25 years for his role in the assaults after Wednesday's sentencing.
Stoeser said he regretted what he had done to the children and their families and said he was receiving therapy for his issues.
Stoeser admitted in a plea hearing on June 20 to touching two young girls in separate incidents dating back to 2001. Four more girls ranging in ages of 5 and 16 also reported they had been sexually assaulted by Stoeser while they were napping.
