Wilf Still Hopeful For Special Session
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf says he remains hopeful that there will be a special legislative session in the fall to consider a stadium bill for the team.
Wilf spoke briefly at the team's training camp in Mankato on Wednesday. He says the team is still working on its $1 billion plan for a new stadium in the Twin Cities suburb of Arden Hills and is "very confident we'll have something worked out in the near future."
Gov. Mark Dayton said last month that the Vikings plan was incomplete, but he would seriously consider calling a special session in the fall if a plan came forward that was "a good deal for Minnesota."
Wilf says there is a lot of work ahead but he remains excited about the prospects.
