Wild's Bouchard Slowly Returning From Vicious Concussion
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Wild don't have many questions about their roster.
They do have hope about one spot. Pierre Marc Bouchard may have benefited more than most from the lockout, dealing with his history of concussions.
He's cautiously optimistic the worst is behind him.
"I got the green light getting to (play with) contact for training camp," he said. "Today we were doing drills, and it was a good test – so far, so good."
But when you're coming back from vicious big hits, it can be into your head in a lot of ways.
It seems even Bouchard isn't quite sure of himself yet -- not just about when he takes the first big hit, but the second, third and fourth, etc.
"It's been one step at a time, trying to follow what the doctors order; trying to take it step by step," he said.
Returning to his form is the goal, but it's different trying to understand the dynamics of what can be expected.
"He has a skill set not many players have and he's fun to play with," said Kyle Brodziak.
