Wild Sends 7 Players To Hockey World Championships

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild will be represented by seven players at the World Hockey Championships in Slovakia.

The Wild announced their list for the tournament that begins Friday, based on preliminary roster submissions by the teams of participating countries.

Defenseman Brent Burns and forward Cal Clutterbuck will play for Canada, forward Martin Havlat and defenseman Marek Zidlicky will play for the Czech Republic, center Mikko Koivu and 2010 first round draft pick Mikael Granlund will play for Finland, and goalie prospect Dennis Endras will play for Germany.

The championship game is May 15.
