Where Are Gluten-Free Foods At The State Fair?
FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) -- On the state fair's website you'll find a list of vendors with gluten-free foods, and the Northland Celiac Support Group also has a list available.
In the food building alone, there are at least five places where you can order up something yummy without worrying about gluten.
The folks at Minnekabob offer up chicken, beef and buffalo kabobs marinated in soy sauce.
"Gluten-free with some sweeteners," Woody Bachelor said. "And it's very filling."
Over at Falafel King, they have a Greek salad with chicken or a gyro meal with secret spices -- but no gluten.
Amanda Voelkel was diagnosed with Celiac disease a year ago. She keeps the list of food vendors with gluten-free offerings at her fingertips.
"Being able to find food has been difficult," she said. "Now that the Celiac support group has a list, it has made it so much easier."
At San Felipe Tacos, you can get a corn tortilla with beef, jerk chicken, or vegetables, and a gluten-free pico sauce.
