Weather Watcher Profile: Meet One Of Our Youngest Watchers
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One of our youngest weather watchers is also our most active.
Vanshay Murdock, 18, just finished his freshman year at University of Northwestern - St. Paul. And like most Minnesotans, weather is a huge part of his everyday life.
"I just love being outside. I'm a biker, I bike almost every day," Murdock said. "I love camping. I was a Boy Scout."
Murdock lives for the outdoors, which, in Minnesota, means he lives for the weather.
"Minnesota's weather is really unique, so I'm glad to live here," Murdock said.
Despite keeping up with camping forecasts, he's one of our most reliable WCCO Weather Watchers.
"Being a WCCO Weather Watcher is fun," Murdock said. "It's kind of like another job. I just like weather and it's another way for me to show it."
If you thought you'd see him as an on-camera meteorologist one day, you're actually more likely to find him behind the scenes.
"I want to become a photojournalist and hopefully work at WCCO one day," Murdock said.
