Weather Blog: Warm November
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- I've mentioned how this year will feature the driest autumn in more than 140 years of record keeping. That is a record I wish we didn't achieve.
November has been dry and warm, so why not end it that way. The last day of the month will be the warmest of the next several days. A cold front swings through late in the day after we warm to 42 degrees in the Twin Cities.
We may see some light snow early Thursday morning, with most towns seeing less than one inch. The greatest accumulation, about two or three inches, should be over northern Wisconsin. The big changes follow with a strong northwest wind during the day Thursday and temperatures diving below average.
In other words, December will start on a cool note. There is a big storm I will be watching as it approaches our neck of the woods this weekend, but early indications keep the system southeast of here. Stay tuned.
