WCCO Remembers Tom Doar

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- WCCO is remembering a member of our TV and radio family that is no longer with us.

Tom Doar passed away on Monday.

Doar was chairman of the board for Midwest Communications, which used to own WCCO-TV and Radio.

He played a big role in getting WCCO-TV inside the building we've called home since the 80s.

Doar cut the ribbon on the day the building first opened in 1983.

Doar grew up in New Richmond, Wis., where he also gave back to his community. He was 95 years old.
