WCCO Radio Wins 'Large Market Station' Of 2011 Award
CHICAGO (WCCO) -- WCCO Radio won the "Large Market Station of the Year" award. The awards were announced Thursday night at the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show held during the Radio Show in Chicago, Illinois.
WCCO Radio's Dave Lee was also nominated in the category of large market personality of the year.
The prestigious awards recognize radio's outstanding personalities and stations in 21 categories. Marconi finalists were selected by a task force of broadcasters, and the winners were voted on by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy. The votes were tabulated by an independent firm.
The Marconi Award honors radio stations and on-air personalities on a nationwide scale for excellence in broadcasting.
