Wash. Woman Arrested On I-94 In Moorhead With $250K Of Pot
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Washington state woman is in Clay County Jail after a traffic stop led to the discovery of about $250,000 of marijuana.
Moorhead police say an officer pulled over 29-year-old Leila Tarez Maamari for speeding on Interstate 94 Wednesday at about 2:20 a.m.
The officer found about 25 pounds of marijuana and more than two pounds of wax marijuana in her vehicle.
The drugs and her car were seized, and Maamari is in custody awaiting formal charges.
