Want To Run With The Bulls? You Don't Need To Go To Spain
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – For all those who can't foot the ticket to Pamplona, there's an event in the north metro where they can grab life by the horns.
Inspired by the running of the bulls in Spain, organizers in Elk River held a run with the same adrenaline rush.
On Saturday, 18 bulls ran the quarter-mile course at the Elk River Extreme Motor Park. Each of the animals weighed about 1,500 pounds.
Some 2,500 people showed up for the event, and there were three different runs.
But they weren't all without injury.
While no one suffered major wounds, organizers say there were a few cuts and concussions.
