Classes Canceled At Waite Park School Friday After Gun Threat
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- After a former student threatened on Thursday to bring a gun to McKinley School and hurt people, classes were canceled on Friday, but criminal charges are unlikely, authorities said.
Waite Park Police Department said classes at other district schools had a normal schedule. Staff did report to McKinley on Friday after the building was cleared by police, but class wasn't held.
The former student was located by police and interviewed. The case remains active and classes will be back to their normal schedule on Monday.
