VP Nominee Ryan Makes Dash For Minn. Cash
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan was making a quick dash for cash during his first Minnesota visit since joining Mitt Romney's ticket.
A Saturday night fundraiser in Minneapolis was Ryan's lone stop in the state. He planned to head in from Ohio and was scheduled to head home to Wisconsin immediately after the event.
Donors were asked to pay between $1,000 and $25,000 for varying levels of access to Ryan, a congressman selected by Romney in August.
Neither presidential campaign has paid much attention to Minnesota lately, with few public rallies underscoring the fact that the state doesn't rank among the true battlegrounds.
Minnesota's electoral college votes have gone to the Democratic nominee in every campaign since 1976.
