Voyageurs Holding 8th Annual Kids Art Contest
INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. (AP) -- Friday is the deadline for entering Voyageurs National Park's eighth annual Kids Art Contest.
Children from preschool through sixth grade can enter by creating a new painting or drawing illustrating the theme "The Park After Dark."
Prizes will be awarded in four age groups based on creativity, skill and theme.
Artwork should be no smaller than 8 by 10 inches and no larger than 18 by 24 inches. The child's name, grade, school, teacher and family contact information should be written on the back of each entry.
Entries can be dropped off at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center or mailed to Voyageurs National Park.
The contest honors National Park Week. Voyageurs will host an awards ceremony at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center on April 23.
