'Vote No' Signs Vandalized In Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- People living in Bloomington are keeping a close eye on their political lawn signs. That's because someone vandalized several "Vote No" marriage amendment signs sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
"The sign is in my front yard and this morning I discovered that the sign had been marked," Dennis Kane said. "I was disappointed."
At least four signs near Normandale Boulevard and Old Shakopee Road had the "no" scribbled out and "yes" put in place. Others signs had genitals drawn on them.

"I know there are good folks on the other side of this issue," Kane said. "And it's unfortunate that a few wreck it for them."
Chuck Darrell, communications director for Minnesota for Marriage, supporters of the marriage amendment, says the vandalism is on both sides.
Last August, volunteers posted a picture on their Facebook page of a "Vote Yes" sign spray painted with the words "Gay Pride."
"Hopefully the signs are the least of our causalities out there," Darrell said.
Kate Brickman is spokeswoman for Minnesotans United for All Families, opponents of the marriage amendment.
"Whether you're supporting the amendment or opposing the amendment, we should really make sure we're engaging in respectful conversations and not resort to any actions like this," Brickman said.
