Vikings To Wear Pink Shoes, Ribbons Sunday For Breast Cancer Awareness
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Teddy Bridgewater and many of his Minnesota Vikings teammates will wear pink shoes and ribbons on Sunday in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
To no one's surprise, wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was wearing the most stylish looking pink shoes at practice Wednesday.
But the cause itself is very personal for Bridgewater.
"It's going to mean a lot for me because my Mom is a breast cancer survivor," Bridgewater said. "It's going to be a good feeling knowing that we're playing a game that salutes and contributes."
The Vikings battle the Detroit Lions Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Kickoff is at noon.
