Vikings Sign WR Jenkins
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent wide receiver Michael Jenkins to a three-year deal to bolster the team's depth at the position.
The Vikings made the signing of the former Atlanta Falcons receiver on Saturday, one day before the team was due to report for training camp.
Jenkins will now be catching passes from new quarterback Donovan McNabb.
The Vikings also signed second-round draft pick Kyle Rudolph on Saturday. Rudolph is a right end from Notre Dame.
The team was still working to sign first-round draft pick Christian Ponder. The Vikings also had backup safety Husain Abdullah and backup linebacker Erin Henderson sign their restricted tenders.
The Vikings are to report to training camp at Minnesota State University, Mankato on Sunday, with their first practice on Monday.
