Vikings Pack Up, Push For Frazier To Be Head Coach
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings are expressing relief at the end of an exasperating season.
Players have been pushing for interim head coach Leslie Frazier to get the job on a permanent basis.
Frazier addressed the team in a Monday morning meeting, telling them talks with the front office about the position were ongoing. Frazier was not available for comment a day after the Vikings finished their dramatic and disappointing season with a 6-10 record.
Once the coaching staff is set, the Vikings have several roster issues to take care of, starting at quarterback. Brett Favre is insistent his career is over, so the starter for next season remains unclear.
