Vikings Name Brent Salazar Head Strength, Conditioning Coach

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday they have a new strength and conditioning coach, and he's a seasoned veteran in the NFL.

The Vikings have brought in Brent Salazar to be the new strength coach. He comes to Minnesota after spending the last nine seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs as the assistant strength and conditioning coach.

It will be his 11th season overall in the NFL and his first chance to be a head strength coach. Salazar started in 2005 as a strength and conditioning intern with the Denver Broncos. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2003 with a degree in exercise physiology.
