Vikings, Mankato Extend Training Camp Agreement 3 More Years
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday they've reached an agreement with Minnesota State University, Mankato, to continue holding training camp on the school's campus for at least three more years.
The agreement means the Vikings will be calling Mankato their training camp home for the 50th straight year. Last month, construction crews demolished the two buildings for Gage Hall, the residence hall where players and team officials stayed during the enter training camp.
The Vikings will spend this year's training camp lodging at the Julia Sears Residence Community Building. The team reports for camp on Thursday, with the first practice on Friday. The Vikings training camp runs through Wednesday, Aug. 14.
