Vikings LB Bishop 'A Kid In A Candy Store' At Camp
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Desmond Bishop's first practice with the Minnesota Vikings was also his first in almost a year.
The recently signed linebacker missed last season with Green Bay because of a torn right hamstring, an injury he suffered in an exhibition game. The Packers cut him last month, and he joined the rival Vikings soon after.
Bishop said after Friday's workout at Minnesota State University that he felt like "a kid in a candy store" just being on the field again and running through drills. The Vikings have him at the weak side position for now, with Erin Henderson in the middle. Chad Greenway is the leader of the group at the strong side spot.
Bishop said he's comfortable at any of the three positions in the 4-3 defense.
