Vikings' Greenway Hosts Day Of Fun At Mall Of America
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's not a normal life for families who are coping with any illness. Hospital visits can be stressful, but Sunday, families got to put that stress aside for a while.
Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway and his family hosted a day of fun at Mall of America. Fifteen families had the chance to enjoy Nickelodeon Universe and then shop with Greenway and his family. Greenway's foundation, "Lead the Way," was created to provide seriously ill children with daily support and life-changing experiences.
"We don't get to do anything like this very often at all. Just to be able to take a day away to come to a place like this and spend a day with the family has meant everything," mother Michelle Stemm said.
The foundation then hosted a lunch at Hard Rock Cafe for the families. Each family member got a $100 dollar gift card to take home.
