Vikings Fans Brave Subzero Cold To Tailgate At TCF Bank Stadium
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – They arrived at TCF Bank Stadium as early as 4 a.m.
Enthusiastic Vikings fans didn't want to miss a moment of the game day experience, even when temperatures across Minnesota dipped well below zero Sunday morning. With wind chill factored in, it felt like 30 below in the Twin Cities.
Not much of a warm-up is expected as the noon kick-off inches closer. Forecaster Kylie Bearse says temperatures may climb to zero as the game begins.
Still, several weather models show air temperatures remaining below zero, with wind chills making it feel like 20-30 below.
The game against the Seattle Seahawks is expected to be one of the coldest in NFL playoff history.
As such, the game is not a sellout, and tickets are still available.
On social media, many fans posted photos to show how they outfitted to deal with the arctic weather.
