Vikings C Sullivan Agrees To Contract Extension
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Vikings announced Saturday afternoon that center John Sullivan has reached an agreement with the team on a contract extension.
Official numbers have not been released, but reports are out that the deal is five years and work about $25 million. Sullivan is currently in his fourth year with the Vikings and was a sixth round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2008.
Sullivan became the team's starting center in 2009. He's appeared in 58 games and has 42 starts.
"We are very excited about the future of John Sullivan. He has quickly become a leader among the offensive line," said Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier. "John is having an outstanding 2011 season and he is a big part of why our rushing attack is near the top in the NFL. We are thrilled about having John as a member of the Minnesota Vikings for years to come."
