Owatonna Company Creates Viking Ship Bar For U.S. Bank Stadium
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The final touches are being made on U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home for the Minnesota Vikings.
And a Minnesota business is proud to present a very special piece of cabinetry.
This Vikings ship looks seaworthy, but it's actually a bar. It was made by Christian Brothers Cabinets in Owatonna.
Tom Vanbinsbergen designed the piece, and spent more than 120 hours on the woodcarving.
"I got paid for two months of doing my hobby pretty much. You can't beat that. If we can do a ship like this we can do just about anything," Vanbinsbergen said.
The Vikings Ship Bar will be installed in about a week at the stadium. It will be featured as part of the Founders Club.
