Vikes Rookies Want Summer Chemistry To Carry Over
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings rookies Christian Ponder and Kyle Rudolph believe their work together this summer will help them overcome the practice time lost to the NFL lockout.
Ponder and Rudolph met at the scouting combine and have spent several weeks hanging out and doing drills together since, forming a quarterback-tight end chemistry they plan on carrying over into the 2011 season and beyond.
Ponder and Rudolph were the top two draft picks by the Vikings this year. They were at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday working out with a group of a few dozen NFL players and hopefuls led by Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
