Vikes D-Line Checkup: Are Williams & Floyd Ready To Go?
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Question No. 1 for week one -- will Kevin Williams play for the Vikings?
If he doesn't, is first round pick Sharrif Floyd ready?
"For us, it's more about this first game and concentrating on getting this win on the road – this is so important," Leslie Frazier said.
Williams did not practice on Wednesday as he's still nursing his injury. Veteran Fred Evans could see increased time on the field. He was with the first team Wednesday afternoon.
Floyd, too, as the first-round pick said his health is good.
The mental side could be more telling.
"It's just getting my mind right," he said. "It's nothing to worry about -- just playing ball."
The good news for a rookie on the defensive line is he's surrounded by veterans, who can offer simple advice to a rookie trying to not let them down.
