Valleyfair to host Hockey Day Minnesota 2025
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — There's a thrilling twist coming to a statewide winter celebration.
Valleyfair will host Hockey Day Minnesota in 2025, organizers announced Monday. Dates and matchups have not yet been announced.
Proceeds will help grow the game in Shakopee.
"To be able to announce that Valleyfair, an iconic Shakopee destination, will be our hosts for Hockey Day Minnesota 2025, and to see our official 2025 brand emerging, adds to the growing anticipation of our community," Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 chair Matthew Underwood said.

Hockey Day is a multi-day event highlighting youth hockey and ending with a Minnesota Wild game at the Xcel Energy Center.
Next year's Hockey Day is happening in Warroad from Jan. 25 through Jan. 27. Tickets are on sale now.
The Wild started Hockey Day Minnesota in 2007 to celebrate and grow the game. The 2025 event will be the 19th iteration. Over the years, the celebration has been held in Minneapolis, Minnetonka, St. Paul, Elk River, Duluth, St. Cloud, Bemidji and other Minnesota cities.
