Valleyfair To Debut New Peanuts Attraction
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) -- Valleyfair will debut a new attraction, Planet Snoopy, when the Shakopee amusement park opens for the season Saturday.
The $9 million attraction features Charlie Brown, Snoopy and other "Peanuts" characters created by Minnesota native Charles Schulz.
Planet Snoopy covers 3.5 acres and features more than 20 "Peanuts"-themed rides and attractions. That includes the Peanuts Playhouse, Snoopy Boutique and Planet Grill.
Visitors will be able to meet the Peanuts characters wandering around the new park. And the gang will perform daily at "Charlie Brown's Hoedown" in the Peanuts Showplace.
Valleyfair features 75 rides and attractions, including seven roller coasters and the Pepsi IMAX Theatre.
