US Sen. Al Franken To Address Michigan Democrats
DETROIT (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota is scheduled to give the keynote address at the Michigan Democratic Party's Annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Detroit.
Franken is to speak at the fundraising event Saturday at Cobo Center.
The 59-year-old former "Saturday Night Live" writer and performer is in his first term in the Senate.
He sits on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension Committee; the Judiciary Committee; the Energy and Natural Resources Committee; and the Committee on Indian Affairs.
