Uptown Theater Proposal Would Convert Historic Space Into Concert Hall
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A popular Minneapolis landmark has plans to transform from an iconic movie theater to a concert hall.
The proposal for the Uptown Theater, which closed in early 2020 as the pandemic began, would add space for some 2,500 people by knocking down a wall into the next building.
The city's Historic Preservation Commission will need to give it a green light before moving forward on exterior changes.
