Rally Held For State Rep. Candidate
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Around 500 people showed up for a rally for Democratic state representative candidate Ilhan Omar Saturday night, according to a spokesperson for the event.
The Unity Rally for Ilhan was held at the Brian Coyle Center. The event featured speeches in English, Somali and Oromo and live music.
Omar is running in District 60-B against the long-standing Rep. Phyllis Kahn, who was first elected to her House seat in 1972. Mohamud Noor is also in the race.
