T'Wolves Eye Mike Woodson
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the process of interviewing candidates to fill Kurt Rambis's newly vacated position as the team's head coach.
Among the people that have reportedly been approached by the Timberwolves organization is former NBA player and recent Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Woodson.
Woodson coached the Hawks between 2004 and 2010, when his contract expired and the team said they would not re-sign him after their 0-4 run out of the playoffs in the second round that season.
Sources say the Timberwolves have also been in contact with Terry Porter -- who has coached the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns -- and they may be in talks to contact Don Nelson.
Kurt Rambis was the Timberwolves' ninth coach starting in August 2009. In his two seasons as head coach, the team had a record of 32-132.
