Twins Home Opener In 2012 Set For April 9 Vs. Angels
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Twins will begin the 2012 regular season in Baltimore for a three-game weekend series against the Orioles starting April 6.
The home opener is April 9, a Monday game against Torii Hunter and the Los Angeles Angels.
The Twins released their schedule Wednesday. Game times will be set later.
In addition to the usual home-and-home interleague series against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Twins will host the Chicago Cubs June 8-10 and the Philadelphia Phillies June 12-14. They travel to play the Pittsburgh Pirates June 19-21 and the Cincinnati Reds June 22-24.
The Boston Red Sox visit Target Field April 23-25, and the New York Yankees are in town Sept. 24-26.
