Twins Give Thrill To Boy Who Lost Dad To Cancer
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - An 8-year-old boy celebrated a special Father's Day at Target Field Friday afternoon.
Tyson Hill was just 3 when he lost his father to a brain tumor. His grandmother, Barb Probst, reached out to WCCO about his story.
The Minnesota Twins gave the little baseball player a chance to not only go to his first Twins game, but to also meet some of the big players out on the field.
"I'm surprised by how far they can hit and how hard they can throw. I'm surprised by everything," Hill said. "I don't think I'll ever do this good."
Probst says it was a wonderful experience for her grandson.
"It's almost like I'm bringing him closer to his dad," Probst said. "And to see the smile on Tyson's face. I mean, it's just worth it."
Tyson says his favorite position is first base. His cousin was also able to run out onto the field as the players practiced.
