Twins Announce 2014 Regular Season Schedule
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Twins announced their 2014 regular season schedule on Tuesday, one that's anticipated with Target Field hosting the All-Star Game.
The Twins will open the season with two divisional series on the road, heading to Chicago to play the White Sox March 31-April 2. They'll follow that with a series in Cleveland before returning to Target Field for their home opener against the Oakland Athletics on April 7. That's part of a nine-game home stand against the Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays.
The 2014 All-Star Game will be held July 13-15 at Target Field.
The Twins will also play 20 interleague games. They'll host the L.A. Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks. The Twins will also travel to face the Padres, San Francisco Giants, Brewers and Colorado Rockies.
The Twins will face each of their American League Central Division opponents 19 times.
