Twin Cities Tour Group Shows Real Haunts
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For years, people have been hunting for ghosts in old buildings and houses, but one Twin Cities company is helping you try it yourself.
Real Ghost Tours said they use some high-tech equipment to spot the ghosts and spirits. EMF meters, which measure the electromagnetic frequencies, are just one of the tools of the trade.
People can go on the fun-and-sometimes-freaky tours which start at 125 Main St. Southeast in Minneapolis.
The tours operators say it is "a thoroughly researched dramatization, drawing on real legends and real history in the actual places in which the people lived and died, the events took place, and the ghosts have been seen."
But modern technology -- like Twitter and web cams -- brings their stories to life.
Ghost hunter Curt Hansen said some tours are more active; like the one where they heard an eerie voice, or what ghost hunters call Electronic Voice Phenomena.
They also caught unexplained orbs on tape.
