Turning Out The Lights At MOA For Halloween
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- Climate-controlled, safe and full of candy -- Mall of America is the place to be this Halloween.
Blackout turns out the lights on Nickelodeon Universe.
"If you're a kid at heart and you love Halloween, this is the place to come regardless of your age," said Dan Jasper of the Mall of America.
Nickelodeon Universe might seem innocent enough, but even this theme park gets into the spirit.
"We turn off all the lights, we turn off the ride lights, and then we turn on black lights and fog machines," Jasper said. "So it's a neat, family-friendly and spooky atmosphere for parents and kids alike."
Between the rides there's critters of all kinds.
"I'll be bringing the animals out one at a time; they won't know what's coming out next," said critter handler Marthe Herbert.
Unlimited Ride wristbands are $19.99 plus tax. And on Halloween from 5 to 8 p.m., you can check out the largest indoor trick or treat event.
Kids dress up and candy gets handed out without traffic or unpleasant weather.
