TSA Bomb Drill Causes Scene At MSP Security
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Transportation Security Administration said a bomb drill last week caused a scene after officers at the airport weren't notified that it was a drill.
Last Thursday, officers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport rushed to checkpoint two and drew their guns at a man when explosive materials were detected, according to the Star Tribune.
It turns out that TSA had a man try to carry a fake bomb in his bag through security.
The officers were told about the drill and airport operations quickly returned to normal.
The TSA said correct procedures will be followed in the future to avoid the same thing from happening again. They said it shows that any sign of a bomb at airport will definitely have officers running toward security.
