Trump Jr. Tweets Out Email Chain Over Meeting With Russian Laywer
WASHINGTON (AP/WCCO) -- President Donald Trump's son told a person promising him damaging information about Hillary Clinton: "If it's what you say I love it."
Donald Trump Jr. posted his emails with publicist Rob Goldstone on Twitter Tuesday. The emails with Goldstone show that Trump Jr. was told that the Russian government had information that could "incriminate" Clinton and her dealings with Russia.
Trump Jr. says in a statement that he released the exchanges "in order to be totally transparent."
The Trump Organization confirmed the authenticity of the posts.

One of Minnesota's U.S. Senators, Al Franken, released this statement Tuesday about the situation:
The revelation about Donald Trump Jr.'s willingness to play a part in the Russian interference with our electoral process is incredibly troubling.
The people with whom President Trump surrounds himself, including his own family members and most senior advisors, don't act like a group with nothing to hide -- and the more we uncover, the worse it seems to get.
The integrity of our democracy is at stake here, which is why I believe that Donald Trump Jr. now must come before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify under oath. The American public deserves answers about this disturbing revelation and about the Trump-Russia connection.
Jennifer Carnahan, chair of the Minnesota Republican Party, released this statement Tuesday:
Unlike the secrecy and evasiveness practiced by Hillary Clinton in attempting to cover up her private email server and hide the exposure of highly classified information, Donald Trump Jr. has been entirely transparent in publicly releasing his email records relating to this meeting.
The repeated attempts by the Democrats to find a smoking gun continue to be a waste of time and taxpayer dollars.
