Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske described the trooper's injuries as non-life threatening, but the trooper was taken to the hospital.
The westbound lanes of I-94 were closed until about 2 p.m. while the accident was being investigated.
Roeske said he can't remember a 24-hour period like this for troopers.
Roeske said it was the fifth trooper to be involved in an accident and four squad cars were hit since the snowstorm swept into Minnesota.
On Sunday, trooper Brian Bammert was hurt in Golden Valley. He had to jump to get out of the way of a car that came at him on I-394. He got cuts on his hand and drove himself to the hospital.
Roeske said the main issue is that drivers need to slow down and move over for stopped emergency vehicles.
