Trial Starts For MN Teen Accused In 2 Iowa Slayings
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The first trial begins Monday for a Minnesota teenager accused of murdering two convenience store clerks in Iowa last year.
Michael Swanson, who grew up in St. Louis Park, faces murder and robbery charges.
Prosecutors say Swanson killed Vicky Bowman-Hall in Algona, and then drove to Humbolt, where he shot and killed Sheila Myers.
Swanson will go on trial Monday for Myers' death.
If convicted in either case, Swanson would face a mandatory life sentence.
