Photo Evidence From Trevino Trial Released
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A jury found Jeffery Trevino guilty of second-degree murder in the death of his wife Kira Steger back on Oct. 2, and on Friday, photo evidence from the trial was released.
From photos of blood on pillow cases and trunk liners, to surveillance images -- here's a gallery that gives an inside look into the trial.
Jurors had found that Trevino did kill his wife, but that it wasn't his plan. They said her death happened during his attack.
Trevino will be sentenced on Nov. 25. The maximum sentence is 40 years, but Trevino could get more if the judge believes there are aggravating factors in the case.
"We will never have our daughter back, but at least justice has been done," said Kira's father Jay back on Oct. 2.
The St. Paul man was accused of killing his wife in their home last February, then hiding her body in a river.
