Traffic Restrictions Slated For Monday Night On I-694 In Brooklyn Center
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Traffic restrictions are slated to begin Monday night on westbound Interstate-694 between East River Road and Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center, the Department of Transportation says.
The restrictions were supposed to set in Sunday night, but equipment problems prompted a delay.
At 7 p.m., drivers should find single-lane traffic on both sides of I-694 as traffic is switched to the outside lanes of the interstate. Once the westbound switch is completed, MnDOT says, crews will switch traffic to the eastbound lanes, if time permits.
Morning commuters should find two lanes of traffic in each direction between East River Road and Highway 100.
The restrictions come as part of a concrete pavement repair project and a drainage and bridge deck replacement project on I-694 between Highway 100 and Interstate 35W.
