Tornado Response Changing In Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The response to the tornado that hit north Minneapolis earlier this month is changing as service providers scale back at the Disaster Recovery Center at Farview Park.
The city reported Monday that the recovery center will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, but with significantly fewer services available.
However, Metro Transit will provide free shuttle service to locations that are now offering direct assistance throughout the city.
The service will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. The shuttles will circulate between 14 stops in north Minneapolis and downtown.
Flyers with the list of stops and service providers are available at five north Minneapolis Parks -- Farview, Jordan, Folwell, Willard, North Commons -- and by calling 311.
