Top 5 Walk-Up Songs For 2014 Twins Players
"So, I'm back up in the game, running things to keep my swing, lettin' all the people know, that I'm back to run the show." – "Return Of The Mack" by Mark Morrison
There are many walk-up songs in baseball that make a lot of literal sense for a baseball player to have -- the above example being Twins' Chris Colabello's choice. Others, however, sort of come out of left field. Pun intended.
But whether they make sense or not, some of our Twins players have some pretty great walkup jams. We've collected the Top 5 best walkup songs for 2014 Twins players (with a runner-up). You can also let us know what you think in the poll at the bottom of the page.
No. 1: Chris Colabello
- "Return Of The Mack" by Mark Morrison
I mean, this one is pretty self-explanatory, but having the line "Return of the Mack" repeating while you walk up to knock some runs in? That's cool. It's a great use of this one-hit wonder.
No. 2: Jason Kubel
- "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys
Nothing pumps things up more than the musical energy of the Beastie Boys. Well, nothing I can think of.
No. 3: Trevor Plouffe
- "Travelling Riverside Blues" by Led Zeppelin
You have to respect a young baseball player who jams to some classic rock -- and it's a good choice, too.
No. 4: Kurt Suzuki
- "My Audio" by J-Boog
Switching things up a bit, Suzuki picked some reggae pop for his walk-up song, and it's a catchy tune.
No. 5: Chris Parmalee
- Cinema by Benny Benassi (Skrillex Remix).
Drop the bass, then drop a homer!
Runner-Up: Joe Mauer
- "What You Know" by T.I.
Mauer's makes this list -- not simply because he's Mauer -- but because he's stuck with this T.I. classic for the long haul. It's the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" thing.
Whose walk-up song do you think is the best?
