With all the excitement surrounding the Vikings' playmaking wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (Percy who?), how 'bout we take a look at some of the all-time greats at the position?
No. 5 Sammy White
For a guy drafted from Grambling State (where?) in the second round in 1976, White did some solid work for the Vikings, hauling in 393 receptions for 6,400 yards with 50 touchdowns. The dependable receiver stuck with the Vikings for 10 years, too. And he survived this infamous hit from Jack Tatum and still held onto the ball, which by itself is astonishing.
No. 4 Anthony Carter
After a semi-slow start with the Vikings in 1985, Carter exploded with three Pro Bowl seasons. In 1988, his best season recorded 1,225 receiving yards with six touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 17 yards per catch.
No. 3 Steve Jordan
Jordan, the only tight end on this list, played 13 seasons with the Vikings starting in 1982 and is 3rd on the team for all-time receptions with 498. His production only really declined in his 13th year, too. He snagged 56 catches in his 12th year for 542 yards.

Randy Moss may be one of the greatest receivers to ever grace the NFL gridiron and stretched defenses like no other, but he only played when he wanted to. He was arguably the biggest diva receiver and let's not even talk about his unfortunate return to the Vikings in 2010. That being said, in eight seasons with the Vikings, Moss recorded 587 receptions, 9,316 receiving yards and 92 touchdowns – all second most on the team.

So, who was Randy Moss second to in most stats (besides average reception yards)? This guy.
Carter – who was an artist with his hands – leads the Vikings with a staggering 1,004 receptions, 12,383 yards, and 110 yards. He was a beast.
