Tom Emmer wins Republican nomination in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District
WASHINGTON — Tom Emmer is the winner of the Republican nomination for U.S. House in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District in the primary Tuesday.

In 2014, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota's 6th District, succeeding former Rep. Michelle Bachmann. He was reelected in 2018 and 2022.
He was named chair of the Republican National Congressional Committee in 2019 and elected as majority whip in 2022.
The 6th District includes Benton, Carver, Sherburne, Stearns, Wright, Anoka, and Washington Counties.
