Timberwolves Host Mbakwe, Others At Draft Workout
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Workouts are continuing Monday at the Target Center in Minneapolis as the Minnesota Timberwolves prepare for the NBA Draft.
The Timberwolves are hosting six players for a workout Monday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It's the start of a busy week for the organization as they make preparations for the June 27 NBA Draft, where right now they have the No. 9 and No. 26 picks in the first round and a selection in the second round.
Highlighting the players at Monday's workout will be former Gophers forward Trevor Mbakwe, who was one of the team's top players last year. Another familiar name to local basketball enthusiasts will be DeShaun Thomas, a forward from Ohio State.
Other players expected to be at Target Center include North Carolina forward Reggie Bullock, New Mexico forward Tony Snell, Arizona State guard Carrick Felix and Utah center Jason Washburn.
